Description

These vibrant Tie-Dye Jello Shots bring a fun, colorful twist to the classic party favorite. Made with whipped cream vodka and a blend of neon food coloring gels, they are visually striking and perfect for any festive occasion. The gelatin sets in layers to create a tie-dye effect, making these shots as delightful to look at as they are to taste.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whipped Cream Vodka
  • 1 1/2 cups Hot Water
  • 3 ounces Unflavored Gelatin
  • Neon Pink Food Coloring Gel
  • Neon Aqua Food Coloring Gel
  • Neon Yellow Food Coloring Gel
  • Neon Lime Green Food Coloring Gel
  • 12 – three-ounce Plastic Shot Glasses

Instructions

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the hot water and allow it to sit for 5 minutes to bloom. Then stir thoroughly until the gelatin completely dissolves. Add the whipped cream vodka to the gelatin mixture and stir well to combine.
  2. First Layer and Coloring: Arrange the 12 shot glasses on a tray or cookie sheet that fits in your refrigerator. Fill each shot glass halfway with the gelatin-vodka mixture. Using toothpicks or a small spoon, dip into different neon food coloring gels (pink, aqua, yellow, green) and stir a small amount into each shot glass to create varied colors. Place the tray in the refrigerator and let the first layer set for about 1 hour.
  3. Second Layer and Tie-Dye Effect: Once the first layer is set, remove the shot glasses from the refrigerator. Fill each shot glass with the remaining gelatin mixture to the top. Using toothpicks again, add small amounts of contrasting neon food coloring gel on the surface to create the tie-dye appearance by swirling or dotting opposite colors. Return the tray to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours or until fully set. Serve cold and enjoy your vibrant tie-dye jello shots!
