Description

Delicious stuffed cheese bread featuring mozzarella cheese encased in soft biscuit dough, baked to golden perfection and brushed with a savory herb butter mixture. Perfect as a tasty appetizer or snack for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Cheese

  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (16 ounces)
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into eight 1-inch square cubes

Butter Mixture and Seasoning

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking your stuffed cheese bread evenly.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with a Silpat mat or aluminum foil that has been sprayed with cooking oil to prevent sticking.
  3. Prepare Cheese Filling: Cut the mozzarella cheese into eight 1-inch square cubes, which will be the delicious gooey center inside each biscuit.
  4. Stuff the Biscuits: Place one cheese cube in the center of each biscuit dough portion. Wrap the dough tightly around the cheese, making sure to seal the edges to keep the cheese enclosed, and arrange them seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake Biscuits: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the biscuits are puffed and lightly golden brown on the outside.
  6. Make Butter Mixture: While the biscuits are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl and stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
  7. Brush and Garnish: After removing the biscuits from the oven, immediately brush them generously with the seasoned butter mixture. Garnish with finely chopped fresh parsley for added flavor and a fresh appearance.
  8. Serve Warm: Serve the stuffed cheese breads warm so you can enjoy the melted mozzarella inside with the buttery, herby exterior.

Notes

  • You can substitute mozzarella with other cheese such as cheddar or pepper jack for different flavors.
  • Adjust the garlic powder and salt according to your taste preference.
  • If you want extra crispiness, bake biscuits a couple of minutes longer but watch closely to prevent burning.
  • These stuffed cheese breads are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven but can be reheated in the oven to restore crispiness.
