These adorable Snowman Hat Cookies are a festive holiday treat made by decorating grasshopper cookies with marshmallows dipped in melted milk chocolate and adorned with red M&Ms and holly sprinkles to resemble snowman hats. - 24 Grasshopper cookies
- 24 large marshmallows
- 24 Wilton holly melody sprinkles
- 24 mini red M&Ms
Chocolate
- 10 ounces melting milk chocolate wafers
Instructions
- Prepare the Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate wafers in the microwave according to the package directions, stirring occasionally until smooth and fully melted.
- Arrange Cookies: Place 24 grasshopper cookies evenly spaced on a cookie sheet, ready for assembly.
- Dip the Marshmallows: Dip about 3/4 of each marshmallow into the melted chocolate, shaking off any excess gently. Place the dipped marshmallows on parchment or wax paper and allow the chocolate to harden.
- Assemble the Hats: Spoon a small dollop of melted chocolate onto the center of each cookie. Quickly place a chocolate-dipped marshmallow on top, using the chocolate as glue to secure it.
- Add the Red M&M: Place the rest of the chocolate into a piping bag or small plastic bag with the tip cut off. Pipe a small dot of chocolate on the back of each red mini M&M, then stick the M&M onto the middle of the white part of the marshmallow.
- Attach Holly Sprinkles: Pipe small dollops of chocolate on the backs of the holly sprinkles and attach two holly leaves on either side of each red M&M, resembling holly decoration on the hat.
- Repeat: Repeat the assembly process for the remaining cookies and marshmallows until all 24 hats are decorated.
- Set and Harden: Allow the completed snowman hat cookies to sit undisturbed for 20 to 30 minutes so the chocolate hardens and everything stays securely in place.

- Use parchment paper to prevent sticking when allowing marshmallows to harden.
- If you don’t have a piping bag, a small zip-top bag with the corner snipped works well for chocolate piping.
