Ingredients
For the cupcakes:
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the filling:
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate ganache or chocolate syrup
For the frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin. Prepare chocolate cake mix with sour cream and vanilla, fill liners, and bake.
- Fill Cupcakes: Once cooled, remove centers of cupcakes, fill with caramel and chocolate ganache, then replace the tops.
