Description

This Homemade Panettone Tiramisu Dessert Delight is a luxurious twist on the classic Italian tiramisu, featuring soft panettone slices soaked in rich coffee and layered with a luscious mascarpone mixture infused with vanilla. Perfectly chilled and dusted with cocoa powder, this dessert offers a creamy, flavorful experience ideal for holiday celebrations or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale

Panettone Layer

  • 300 grams Panettone (Cut into thick slices)
  • 1 cup Fresh Coffee (Cooled to room temperature)

Mascarpone Mixture

  • 500 grams Mascarpone Cheese
  • 100 grams Granulated Sugar (Adjust to taste)
  • 3 large Eggs (At room temperature, separated)
  • 100 milliliters Whole Milk
  • 1 bean Vanilla Bean (Split open, seeds scraped)

Finishing

  • 30 grams Cocoa Powder (For dusting)
  • Optional: Chocolate shavings or fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew Coffee: Brew your coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature to avoid melting the mascarpone later.
  2. Separate Eggs: Carefully separate the egg yolks from the whites, placing the yolks in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Combine Yolks and Sugar: Add granulated sugar to the egg yolks and beat vigorously until the mixture becomes pale and creamy, ensuring proper sweetness and texture.
  4. Add Mascarpone: Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture, combining until smooth and even.
  5. Incorporate Milk and Vanilla: Stir in the whole milk and scrape the vanilla bean seeds into the mixture, blending to create a smooth custard base.
  6. Whip Egg Whites: Using a clean bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, which will help lighten the overall texture.
  7. Fold in Whites: Carefully fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture without deflating the airiness.
  8. Prepare Panettone Layers: Quickly dip each panettone slice into the cooled coffee just long enough to absorb flavor without becoming soggy, then arrange a layer at the bottom of a shallow dish.
  9. Add Mascarpone Layer: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the panettone base to create the first creamy layer.
  10. Repeat Layers: Add another layer of coffee-dipped panettone slices, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture, smoothing the top carefully.
  11. Chill: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, allowing the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  12. Finish and Serve: Just before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and optionally garnish with chocolate shavings or fresh berries. Serve chilled for the best experience.

Notes

  • Use freshly brewed coffee and ensure it is completely cooled before dipping the panettone to prevent melting the mascarpone mixture.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, consider using espresso instead of regular brewed coffee.
  • When dipping panettone in coffee, do it quickly to avoid overly soggy layers.
  • Eggs should be fresh and at room temperature for better whipping and texture.
  • This dessert can be prepared a day ahead to enhance flavor and texture.
  • For an alcohol variation, add a tablespoon of coffee liqueur or rum to the coffee.
