Description

These festive Grinch Jello Shots are a fun and vibrant party treat, blending lime-flavored gelatin with a kick of vodka and triple sec. Bright green and garnished with whipped cream and red candy hearts, they bring a playful holiday spirit to any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 4 oz Absolute lime vodka
  • 4 oz Triple sec
  • 8 oz hot water

Gelatin

  • 4 oz gelatin powder
  • 2 drops lime green gel food coloring

Garnish

  • Whipped cream
  • Red candy hearts

Instructions

  1. Dissolve Gelatin: Add the gelatin powder to the hot water and stir until fully dissolved. Set aside and allow the mixture to cool to room temperature but not to set.
  2. Mix Alcohol: Once the gelatin mixture has cooled, add the Absolute lime vodka and triple sec. Stir gently to combine evenly.
  3. Chill Jello Shots: Pour the gelatin and alcohol mixture halfway into shot glasses. Place the glasses in the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or until the shots are firm and set.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Top each set jello shot with a dollop of whipped cream and a red candy heart for a festive and colorful presentation. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.

Notes

  • Use lime-flavored vodka for a more pronounced lime taste.
  • Ensure gelatin is fully dissolved to avoid grainy texture.
  • Do not add alcohol to hot gelatin mixture; wait for it to cool to maintain alcohol potency.
  • Red candy hearts add a charming holiday touch but can be substituted with other fun toppings.
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve to maintain firmness.
