Description

Greek Frappe is a refreshing iced coffee beverage made with instant coffee, sugar, and cold water or milk, shaken or blended until frothy. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a cool, energizing treat any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee (preferably Nescafé Classic)
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 cup cold water or milk (or a mix)
  • Ice cubes
  • Evaporated milk or regular milk (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coffee base: In a shaker, jar, or blender, combine the instant coffee, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of cold water. Shake or blend vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the mixture becomes thick, frothy, and light brown.
  2. Prepare the glass: Fill a tall glass halfway with ice cubes to ensure your drink is refreshingly cold.
  3. Combine and serve: Pour the frothy coffee mixture over the ice, then top with cold water, milk, or a mix of both, according to your preference. Stir gently to combine and serve with a straw for easy sipping.

Notes

  • Customize your frappe to your liking: Sketos (no sugar), Metrios (1 tsp sugar), or Glykos (2+ tsp sugar).
  • Use evaporated milk for a more authentic creamy taste.
  • Blend with milk instead of water for a smoother texture.
