- 4 ounces Cointreau (½ cup)
- 4 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice (½ cup, from about 4 limes)
- 8 ounces Reposado Tequila (1 cup)
- 4 ounces agave syrup or simple syrup (½ cup)
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 32 ounces ice (4 cups)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass Rims: Rub the rim of each glass with a lime slice to moisten it, then dip the rim into the margarita salt, lime zest, and raw sugar mixture. Set the glasses aside to allow the rims to set properly before pouring the cocktail.
- Blend the Margarita: Combine the frozen strawberries, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lime juice, Reposado tequila, agave or simple syrup, kosher salt, and ice into a blender. Blend on the CHOP or pulse setting until the mixture reaches a smooth, slushy consistency suitable for a frozen margarita.
- Serve and Garnish: Pour the blended margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish each glass with a fresh strawberry and a lime wedge to add a pop of color and extra flavor to the presentation.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the amount of agave syrup or simple syrup to taste.
- Use Reposado tequila for a richer flavor, but Blanco tequila can be substituted for a lighter taste.
- For a spicier twist, add a slice of jalapeño to the blender before blending.
- To make the margarita salt, combine margarita salt, lime zest, and raw sugar thoroughly to coat the glass rims perfectly.
- Serve immediately after blending to enjoy the best texture and temperature.
