Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently just until combined; do not overmix. The batter should be thick and slightly lumpy.
- Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes while preheating a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Lightly grease the skillet with butter or oil.
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, or until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set.
- Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve warm with maple syrup, butter, or your favorite toppings.
