Ingredients

Scale

Meats

  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 4 ounces salami
  • 4 ounces capicola

Cheeses

  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar, cubed
  • 4 ounces brie, sliced or whole wedge
  • 4 ounces goat cheese or blue cheese, crumbled or sliced

Crackers & Bread

  • 1 cup assorted crackers
  • 1 cup sliced baguette or crostini

Fruits

  • ½ cup green or red grapes
  • ½ cup fresh berries (strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries)
  • ¼ cup dried apricots or figs

Nuts & Extras

  • ¼ cup roasted almonds or walnuts
  • ¼ cup olives (green or black)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or fig jam

Garnish

  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Arrange Cheeses: Place the sharp cheddar, brie, and goat or blue cheese spaced apart on a large board or platter to create a foundation.
  2. Add Meats: Fold or roll slices of prosciutto, salami, and capicola to add texture and height, arranging them around the cheeses.
  3. Place Crackers & Bread: Fill in the spaces around the cheeses and meats with assorted crackers and sliced baguette or crostini for easy pairing.
  4. Incorporate Fruits: Add small clusters of fresh grapes and berries as well as dried apricots or figs for color and sweetness.
  5. Scatter Nuts and Olives: Sprinkle the roasted almonds or walnuts across the board and arrange olives either directly or in a small bowl on the board.
  6. Add Honey or Jam: Place a small dish of honey or fig jam near the cheeses to enhance flavors with a touch of sweetness.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Tuck fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs around the board to add aromatic appeal. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready.

Notes

  • Balance textures and flavors by combining creamy, firm, sweet, salty, and crunchy elements.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the meats and add more cheeses, marinated vegetables, and hummus.
  • Choose gluten-free crackers and bread if desired to make it gluten-free friendly.
  • Serve chilled or at room temperature, depending on preference.
