Custard Toast:

  • 2 slices thick-cut bread (such as brioche or sourdough)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup fresh fruit (such as berries, banana slices, or peach slices)
  • powdered sugar or cinnamon for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Custard: In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, Greek yogurt, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Prepare Bread: Using the back of a spoon, gently press the center of each bread slice to create a shallow well without tearing the crust. Fill with the custard mixture.
  4. Add Fruit: Top with fresh fruit slices.
  5. Air Fry: Place the custard toasts in the air fryer basket and air fry for 5–7 minutes until set.
