Instructions
- Mix Beans and Seasoning: In a medium bowl, combine the can of refried beans with the taco seasoning packet. Stir well to blend the flavors evenly.

- Add Salsa Layer: Spoon the jar of salsa evenly over the refried beans.
- Sprinkle Olives: Distribute the sliced black olives evenly over the salsa layer.
- Add Lettuce Layer: Evenly spread the shredded lettuce over the olives.
- Add Shredded Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly on top of the lettuce.
- Prepare and Add Cream Cheese Layer: Soften the cream cheese and spread it in an even layer over the shredded cheese for a creamy contrast.
- Spread Sour Cream: Evenly layer the sour cream over the cream cheese.
- Top with Tomato and Garnish: Sprinkle the chopped tomato over the sour cream. Optionally, place a slice of provolone cheese or additional shredded cheese on top as garnish.
- Serve with Chips: Serve immediately with blue corn chips for dipping, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar or Mexican blend cheese based on preference.
- Sour cream and cream cheese should be softened for easier spreading.
- For a milder flavor, use mild salsa, or switch to a spicy variety for heat.
- This dip can be prepared a few hours ahead and refrigerated; add fresh tomatoes just before serving to prevent sogginess.
- Blue corn chips provide great color contrast, but tortilla chips work well too.
