Ingredients
Dough:
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (60g) custard powder
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/3 cup (40g) powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional:
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Add dry ingredients: Sift in the flour and custard powder, then stir until a soft dough forms.
- Shape and bake: Roll teaspoons of dough into balls, flatten with a fork, and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 12–15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool and serve: Let the biscuits cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
