  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 3 1/2 cups milk (or a mix of milk and water)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
  • additional strawberries and cream for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Grease Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray or butter.
  2. Add Ingredients: Combine steel-cut oats, milk, heavy cream, maple syrup, strawberries, vanilla extract, salt, and chia seeds (if using). Stir to combine.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or overnight.
  4. Serve: Stir before serving. Top with extra strawberries and a splash of cream if desired.

Notes

  • Use frozen strawberries for convenience.
  • For thicker oatmeal, reduce the milk by 1/2 cup.
