Description

A comforting and creamy slow-cooked chicken dish, Crock Pot Angel Chicken is a family favorite. Tender chicken breasts in a rich sauce served over angel hair pasta, this easy recipe is perfect for busy weeknights.

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Sauce:

  • 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Additional:

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta (cooked according to package directions)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream cheese, chicken broth, butter, and Italian dressing mix. Stir until smooth.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a greased crock pot. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
  3. Shred and Serve: Shred the chicken in the crock pot. Stir to coat with sauce. Serve over cooked pasta and garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for extra flavor and tenderness.
  • For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soups.
