Ingredients
Chicken:
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Sauce:
- 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon butter
Additional:
- 1 pound angel hair pasta (cooked according to package directions)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, cream cheese, chicken broth, butter, and Italian dressing mix. Stir until smooth.
- Cook the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in a greased crock pot. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Shred and Serve: Shred the chicken in the crock pot. Stir to coat with sauce. Serve over cooked pasta and garnish with parsley.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs for extra flavor and tenderness.
- For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soups.
