Description

Delicious crab stuffed baby Bella mushrooms baked to golden perfection, combining creamy cheese, flavorful crab meat, and savory seasonings for a perfect appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 6 oz can crab meat, drained
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tbsp hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Mushrooms & Topping

  • 1 16 oz package baby Bella mushrooms, washed and stems removed
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the stuffed mushrooms.
  2. Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained crab meat, minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, grated parmesan, parsley, onion powder, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated to create a creamy, flavorful filling.
  3. Stuff Mushrooms: Spoon the crab and cheese mixture evenly into each mushroom cap, filling them generously. Once filled, sprinkle or tip panko breadcrumbs over the top of each stuffed mushroom to add a crunchy topping.
  4. Bake: Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet in a single layer. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender and the topping is golden brown and crispy.

Notes

  • Be sure to remove and discard the mushroom stems before stuffing.
  • Drain the crab meat thoroughly to avoid excess moisture in the filling.
  • Adjust hot sauce to your preferred spice level or omit for milder flavor.
  • Panko breadcrumbs add great crispiness, but you can substitute with regular breadcrumbs if needed.
  • Serve warm as an appetizer or party snack.
