Description
These Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters are a delicious and refreshing frozen treat combining creamy Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, crunchy granola, and rich chocolate. Perfect for a healthy snack or dessert, they are easy to make with a simple freezing and chocolate melting process.
Ingredients
Yogurt Mixture
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, washed and diced
- 1 cup granola (your choice of flavor)
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Instructions
- Prepare Yogurt Mixture: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add Strawberries and Granola: Gently fold in the diced strawberries and granola into the yogurt mixture, making sure the ingredients are evenly distributed throughout.
- Form Clusters: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Using a spoon, drop the yogurt mixture into small clusters onto the sheet, spacing them evenly so they don’t stick together when frozen.
- Freeze Clusters: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 30 minutes or until the clusters are firm enough to handle.
- Melt Chocolate Coating: While the clusters freeze, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Coat Clusters with Chocolate: Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer. Either drizzle the melted chocolate over each cluster or dip each cluster into the chocolate to coat it completely, depending on preference.
- Freeze to Set Chocolate: Return the chocolate-coated clusters to the baking sheet and freeze for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm and set.
- Serve and Store: Serve the clusters immediately straight from the freezer for a refreshing treat, or store them in an airtight container in the freezer to enjoy later.
Notes
- Use plain or flavored Greek yogurt to customize the flavor profile.
- Honey or maple syrup is optional depending on your desired sweetness level.
- Make sure clusters are evenly spaced to prevent them from sticking together during freezing.
- You can substitute granola flavors according to preference or dietary needs.
- For a smoother chocolate coating, ensure coconut oil is fully incorporated when melting.
- Store leftover clusters in an airtight container in the freezer to maintain freshness.
