Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
- 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ lemon, juiced
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
Cooking
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Wrap Filling
- 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup croutons
- â…“ cup Caesar dressing
- ¼ cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken: Place the sliced chicken in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and ground black pepper. Toss thoroughly until all pieces are evenly coated with the marinade.
- Heat the skillet: Warm the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, ensuring the pan is hot before adding the chicken to achieve a good sear.
- Cook the chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the skillet. Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes until the chicken is browned around the edges and cooked through. Remove from heat and allow the chicken to cool slightly.
- Prepare the salad mixture: In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, croutons, Caesar dressing, and freshly shredded Parmesan cheese. Toss until the ingredients are well mixed and coated in dressing.
- Assemble the wraps: Lay out the flour tortillas flat. Evenly distribute the salad mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top each with a portion of the cooked chicken pieces.
- Wrap the tortillas: Fold the bottom edge of the tortilla up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito-style wrap to secure all ingredients inside.
Notes
- For a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas or low-fat Caesar dressing.
- You can substitute grilled chicken for skillet-cooked chicken if preferred.
- Adding avocado or sliced tomatoes can enhance the flavor and texture of the wrap.
- Wraps can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; avoid adding croutons until ready to serve to keep them crispy.
- To make the wraps vegan, substitute Caesar dressing with a vegan alternative and replace chicken with grilled tofu or chickpeas.
