Ingredients
Chicken and Seasoning
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1½ tablespoons ranch seasoning
Bacon and Toppings
- 8 slices bacon
- ¼ cup ranch dressing (for spreading inside buns)
- ¼ cup ranch dressing (for sandwich layering)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
Buns
- 4 hamburger buns (or your favorite sandwich buns)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and pound them to an even thickness. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and ranch seasoning to make a rub. Coat the chicken breasts evenly with this mixture and set aside to marinate briefly.
- Cook the Bacon: Heat a skillet over medium heat and fry the bacon slices for about 3 minutes per side until crispy. Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet for cooking the chicken.
- Cook the Chicken: In the same skillet with the bacon fat, place the ranch-seasoned chicken breasts and cook over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from heat and allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Toast the Buns: Wipe the skillet clean using paper towels, then return it to medium heat. Toast the hamburger buns cut side down in the skillet for about 1 minute or until they become golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Spread ranch dressing on the bottom halves of the toasted buns, then top with shredded lettuce. Arrange sliced chicken breasts over the lettuce, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and place two slices of crispy bacon on top.
- Finish the Sandwich: Spread additional ranch dressing on the inside of the top halves of the buns. Close the sandwiches with the top buns and serve immediately while warm and flavorful.
Notes
- For juicier chicken, pound breasts evenly before cooking to ensure even cooking.
- Use your favorite brand of ranch seasoning or homemade for better control over sodium.
- Cook bacon to desired crispness; thicker-cut bacon may require longer cooking time.
- Feel free to substitute cheddar cheese with your preferred cheese such as Swiss or pepper jack.
- Serve with a side of fries, salad, or your favorite chips for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and warmed gently before serving.
